Player was breathing steady, resting his eyes as he stood in the stall, listening to the quiet mist of rain from outside. His breath came in visible wisps but it wasn't until he heard a noise that made him open his eyes that he was able to actually see his breath. He honestly wasn't very hungry but when he saw Jennifer walking up with two flakes of hay he nickered to her. The sun was a few hours from arrival, giving him time to have breakfast before the early halter class. Upon seeing the food he suddenly was starving and shot his head down, not even nuzzling Jennifer good morning. He clamped down on a piece of the flake and pulled up, bobbing his head to remove a bite before contently chewing. He rose his head to look at her as he was noming as if to say, "what?" Jennifer just smiled and said good morning before heading back to her sleeping courters to get a few hours of sleep in before the show.

Jennifer returned again about an hour before the Halter class would begin and noticed that Player had eaten most of his food as well as left some droppings for her to clean. She took the extra time to tidy up his stall before leaving it unattended and walking him to the trailer. She was hungry so she pulled out a Granola bar from the truck and ate it savoringly, enjoying the rich taste of chocolate on granola. Player turned his head to try and steal a bite but Jen pulled her tasty treat away from his face. "uh-uh big boy, you had your breakfast!

The sun was beginning to peek over the still ocean and Jen wanted to be consumed in it, enveloped within the beauty, drawn into the scent that still felt new to her... but she hadn't the time. She was in a hurry to brush Player down extensively. Everything was muddy outside so it was hard to keep his legs clean and his hooves completely picked, but she did her best before they had to enter the ring.

And with the gorgeous view behind them, it was a grand entrance indeed!"
