After her Western Pleasure run, Jen gave Player a short grazing break, untacked. During his break she groomed him down thoroughly, but the dirt didnt seem to get all the way off his legs. She did the best she could and when it was announced the Barrel Racing would begin shortly, Jen got Player tacked up and lunged him in a quick circle a few times to get his legs warm. She walked him towards the arena on foot to line up, and noticed her daughter Kayla and staff member Trinity also headed over. She smiled to herself, glad to see them not yelling at each other for once. She didn't know what it was, but those two just simply did not go on.

Player looked around excitedly, swishing his tail with his ears forward for once. He looked equal to a regal prince- nostrils flared and eyes examineing the area around him. This would be his first Barrel Racing run, and Jen could do nothing but hope for the best.

One by one, she watched the participants do their runs and began to become a bit nervous. She knew Player was fast but was he ready to compete against these horses? She pulled down her hat and mounted then entered the ring, waiting for the bell to begin their run.
