On a side note, I have to say that I LOVE VS Redoubt's tack, it is such a pleasure to draw, and goes so well with her coat~
On another side note, I really LOVE how this came out, I am so proud of myself.. I love it more than my Derby and Belmont entries combined!

The horses were loaded in the gates, ready to go. With the ring of a bell, all of the horses were released and thundered on. Ghost had a particularly bad start to the race, something that made Dallas rather nervous, but was able to gain the lead slowly, Abhijat pushing her a little harder than normal to fight her way up. At the Preakness Ghost had been able to overtake the undefeated and Kentucky Derby winner, TLEC Such A Classic, but now Klassy was right on Ghosts heels, and not breaking. When they came around the final stretch Dallas was silent in the stands, staring with wide eyes as her nervousness gnawed at her, she was paralyzed as she watched Klassy make her move and ease her way up next to Ghost... and Dallas was scared that Ghost didn't have the energy to fight back any more after having to regain her ground in her battle with the bay mare. She screamed for Ghost in her head, but was stoic on the outside, her skin crawling with anticipation. Surely the field was filled with great horses, all fighting for the Carnations, but everyone's eyes were on Klassy and Ghost, the Derby and Preakness Queens.
